“Knock-Off” is an upcoming South Korean black comedy series slated for release on Disney+ in 2025. The series is penned by writer Han Jung-hoon and directed by Park Hyun-seok, known for their collaboration on “Song of the Bandits” (2023). The narrative centers on Kim Seong-jun, portrayed by Kim Soo-hyun, an ordinary office worker whose life is upended by the 1997 Asian financial crisis. After losing his job, Seong-jun delves into the world of counterfeit goods, ascending to the position of vice president at Saemul Market, a hub for fake luxury items. Jo Bo-ah co-stars as Song Hye-jeong, Seong-jun’s ex-lover and a special judicial police officer tasked with cracking down on counterfeit operations. The ensemble cast also includes Yoo Jae-myung, Kim Eui-sung, Bang Hyo-rin, Kwon Nara, and Park Se-wan. The series is structured into two seasons, each comprising nine episodes.
